It’s the Monday after the Golden Globes, which means you either spent the day nursing a hangover or you have no idea what I’m talking about because you forgot that awards show was still a thing.
This weekend, I watched all six episodes of True Detective: Night Country (read my review below) as well as Netflix’s three-part docuseries American Nightmare, which is under embargo, but sure to be your next true-crime obsession. I also watched what may be Bill Belichick’s last game with the New England Patriots, and if that proves to be the case, then thanks for the rings, Coach!
I truly struggled with tonight’s edition, scrapping the entire thing very late in the game and restarting from scratch. My consiglieri advised me to just start fresh in the morning, but after all the tech errors last week, I wanted to make sure that premium subscribers had something in their inbox by the time they woke up in the morning.
