Oops!... She Did It Again: My Wild Night With Britney Spears; Plus, a Long Day With the Media and Her ‘Toxic’ Fans

Happy Friday, folks!

Last night, I saw Is God Is, the new revenge movie from Aleshea Harris, who has announced herself as an especially promising filmmaker to watch. Kara Young and Mallori Johnson are excellent as the film’s two leads — twin sisters who were badly burned in a fire that nearly killed their mother, and are on a mission to kill the man responsible — their abusive father.

Sterling K. Brown plays dear old Dad, and he’s absolutely terrifying. Seriously, this is a chilling performance that’s every bit as evil as Leonardo DiCaprio’s turn in Django Unchained, if far less theatrical.

I know everyone is checking out Obsession this weekend, myself included, or they’re seeing the new Guy Ritchie movie starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, but try and make some time for Is God Is, which is worth a look, even if the stomach-churning domestic violence may make you want to look away.

But hey, you’re not reading this newsletter to hear about the movie I saw last night. You want to know about my Wednesday night, which I spent dining next to Britney Spears.

Maybe you’ve already seen me on TMZ Live, Entertainment Tonight, or Inside Edition, but I still haven’t seen how any of those news segments turned out, or what info made the cut. I just saw how the news was packaged, which I’m not sure I loved.
