Good morning, folks!

Forgive me for not sending a newsletter the past few nights, as I’ve been getting in some family time while waiting for some scoops to pan out. Don’t worry, I have a big, fat newsletter in the works in which I’ll elaborate on my now-infamous Twitter review of 28 Years Later.

For now, you’ll have to settle for my review of Jurassic World Rebirth — one of the first in the world, mind you, as critics are still under embargo. However, I saw the film last night as part of AMC’s Screen Unseen program, so I’m in the clear.

It was a “secret screening”-type of deal that I don’t think Universal would’ve participated in if the studio wasn’t at least a little concerned about the film’s tracking. Universal needs word-of-mouth to get people excited about this franchise again, and I think that the average moviegoer will respond well to Jurassic World Rebirth so long as they don’t think about it too hard.
