Hot Rumor: Margot Robbie to Produce and Star in Tim Burton’s 'Attack of the 50 Foot Woman' at Warner Bros.

Robbie and her LuckyChap banner will produce a reimagining of the sci-fi movie alongside Burton and his 'Wednesday' EPs Andrew Mittman and Tommy Harper.

Happy Monday, folks!

This weekend, I saw Ari Aster’s Eddington, which was certainly better than the director’s prior film, Beau Is Afraid, though I was mixed on the film overall. It’s another divisive WTF-level movie from Aster that left me scratching my head, but at least it sparked an interesting post-screening discussion.

Aster is proving himself to be quite the provocateur, but in my opinion, dark comedy is the single toughest genre to crack, and the director may want to cut himself some slack and pivot from such a high degree of difficulty back to a genre that seems to come more naturally to him, like horror.

Speaking of which, I’m off to a Beyond Fest screening of the Dave Franco-Alison Brie horror movie Together, and I’ll be back with a full newsletter for you ASAP, but I wanted to drop a big scoop — literally — before I head across town to Santa Monica.
