Margot Robbie Inks Deal With WB Despite Current Twitter Sentiment; Josh Safdie to Direct Adam Sandler's Next Special

The Oscar-nominated 'Barbie' producer must not pay attention to social media, in which case, good for her!

Happy Monday night, everyone! ICYMI, I sent an early edition today featuring the Adam Sandler scoop you’ll find folded in below. Tonight’s edition will have the same intro, so if you already read it, feel free to skip ahead to Margot Robbie’s latest first-look deal with Warner Bros.

How about that Super Bowl last night? Following a sleepy first half, the Chiefs rallied to defeat the 49ers in overtime, and the world got the happy ending it wanted — an on-field kiss between Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Here’s hoping those two lovebirds survive the NFL offseason and run it back next year.

Thanks for bearing with me last week while my family was in town. We had a great time in Joshua Tree, and if you’ve never been before, I highly recommend the Chaparrosa Peak Trail in the Pioneertown Mountains Preserve, followed by a hearty dinner at Pappy and Harriet’s.

On Friday, the Sneider fam had dinner at Pace before heading back to my place for “Cruise Cake” — the calorie-laden White Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake from Doan’s Bakery that the Top Gun star sends to friends and acquaintances each year. It was absolutely delicious, and thankfully, I had enough leftover cake to share with friends on Super Bowl Sunday.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, we enjoyed a spirited round of mini golf up in Sherman Oaks, where I managed to hit a hole-in-one, followed by axe throwing and 20 minutes in a rage room while listening to Korn — an excellent musical choice, I must say. We then celebrated my 40th birthday at Javier’s, where the Tres Leches Cake is a must-order, and I did my best to ignore my Twitter replies from Looney Tunes fanatics. Though I may receive more after tonight’s newsletter!
