Exclusive: 'Brightburn's David Yarovesky to Direct Adaptation of Serial Killer Graphic Novel 'Plastic'

Plus, the final trailers for 'Alien: Romulus' and 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' indicate confidence from Disney and WB.

,

Happy Friday, folks!

This week, I finished watching Sausage Party: Foodtopia as well as Season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown and Season 4 of The Boys. I was a fan of all three — yes, that includes Foodtopia, which may be juvenile as hell but still features a ton of clever food puns, which just so happen to be my weakness.

I loved this season of Mayor of Kingstown, and some major chess pieces come off the board in the finale — no spoilers here — so don’t miss it. And if you’re a fan of The Boys then you’ve likely already seen the Season 4 finale, which was eerily timely. I loved this entire season of The Boys, and someone really needs to cast Erin Moriarty in a movie soon, as she stepped up her game this season.

In tonight’s newsletter, you’ll read about a wild new comic book movie in the works from Brightburn helmer David Yarovesky, and you’ll find out what Alien: Romulus and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice have in common. Plus, my thoughts on the Conclave trailer, which looks terrific.

As for tonight’s Bits & Bobs section, stay tuned for a bonus email this weekend, as I’m off to the Hollywood Bowl for a magical night of Disney music.
