Inside Quentin Tarantino's Decision to Walk Away From 'The Movie Critic'

Plus, my thoughts on 'Civil War,' and which projects could be next for directors Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese.

Happy Thursday morning, folks!

Last night, I caught an early screening of Radio Silence’s new horror movie Abigail, which I’ll write about soon, and on Tuesday night, I gritted through a Diane Lane doubleheader of Walter Hill’s Streets of Fire (1984) followed by Francis Ford Coppola’s Rumble Fish (1983). It was my first time seeing both of those movies and I have to say, neither one was for me, as I found both to be pretty slow and boring.

Anyway, in tonight’s newsletter, you’ll read about Quentin Tarantino’s decision to walk away from The Movie Critic; which projects are shaping up to be next for Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese; Lionsgate’s new Oldboy TV series; the possibility that Sundance will leave Park City; Margot Robbie’s new co-stars; and Apple’s For All Mankind spinoff series. Plus, I weigh in on Alex Garland’s Civil War and the trailer for Jeff Daniels’ new Netflix series A Man in Full.
