What Is Scott Stuber Planning to Do With United Artists After Striking First-Look Deal With Amazon?

Plus, my Top 10 Arnold Schwarzenegger movies in honor of his birthday, and is Rachel Brosnahan going from 'Superman' to Shakespeare?

,

Happy Tuesday, folks!

Today, I finished reading T.J. Newman’s new disaster novel Worst Case Scenario, which offers a frightening look at what might happen if a plane dropped out of the sky and just so happened to land on top of a nuclear power plant. I expect some studio or streamer to buy the rights to this book, which would make for a pretty effective thriller, and features a couple of strong lead roles.

In tonight’s newsletter, I’ll take a look at Scott Stuber’s big move to Amazon MGM’s United Artists label, which kind of got lost in the hullabaloo surrounding Comic-Con last week. And I also offer up my Top 10 Arnold Schwarzenegger movies in honor of his 77th birthday. Hopefully, he’ll be back to celebrate again next year.

There are also stories about Rachel Brosnahan’s potential follow-up to Superman, the return of Dexter… and director Bennett Miller, Shawn Levy’s new Netflix project, Seth Meyers’ first HBO special, plus, my thoughts on the trailer for Kevin Smith’s new comedy The 4:30 Movie.
