Happy Tuesday, folks!
Last night, I saw Greg Berlanti’s new NASA-themed rom-com Fly Me to the Moon, which I plan to review later this week. When I got home, I finished sending Monday’s newsletter, in which I suggested three things for David Ellison to focus on now that Skydance is merging with Paramount, and then I stayed up late to watch Sam Morril’s new Amazon special You’ve Changed, which is very funny. Today, I taped an excellent podcast with Matthew Pejkovic before seeing the world’s most disappointing doubleheader — Cuckoo followed by Longlegs. Let’s just say that the wizards in Neon’s marketing department deserve a raise.
In tonight’s newsletter, you’ll read about the latest screenwriter to join the Star Wars galaxy. There are also stories about Jennifer Lawrence’s new A24 movie, the latest horror-thriller from Sam Raimi, the Robert Pattinson bidding war that Paramount just won, a remake of A Fistful of Dollars from the producer of 300, and a bunch of release date news, plus, my thoughts on the Gladiator II trailer.
