Exclusive: Tom Cruise Circling Role in Quentin Tarantino’s Final Film 'The Movie Critic'

Plus, the real reason why David Leitch's 'Jurassic' talks fell apart, and my thoughts on the 'Coyote vs. Acme' situation.

Happy Friday, folks! I am back from an incredible two-day trip to Joshua Tree with my family, and I saw that a couple of scoops were confirmed while I was away — namely that Warner Bros. won a bidding war for Ryan Coogler’s untitled vampire movie starring Michael B. Jordan after agreeing to give him back the copyright in 25 years, and that Channing Tatum will star in Derek Cianfrance’s next film, Roofman.

I am turning 40 YEARS OLD tomorrow, so I wanted to celebrate in style and end my 30s with a bang. For years, I’ve been jealous of everyone who has received a White Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake from Tom Cruise, and rather than wait for the Biggest Movie Star on the Planet to notice little ‘ol me, I decided to order one myself.

I mention this not to make anyone jealous of my future coronary, but because Mr. Cruise just so happens to be the subject of today’s newsletter. You’ll also read about David Leitch, Kelly McCormick, Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, David Zaslav, and more.

Paid subscribers may now enter the Sneider-Verse to read more… and if you aren’t subscribed yet, think it over this weekend and come back at Noon on Monday for my next scoop!
