Exclusive: Warner Bros. Planning to Shakeup 2025 Release Calendar, Which Will Likely Welcome 'Weapons'

Plus, Stephen A. Smith’s new contract at ESPN, a Liza Minnelli miniseries, and the trailer for Disney’s new live-action 'Snow White' movie starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.

Happy Tuesday, folks!

Awards mania is upon us already, as the Gotham Awards (aka the East Coast Indie Spirit Awards) crowned A Different Man as its surprise Best Picture last night, while the New York Film Critics Circle named The Brutalist as its Best Picture, and star Adrien Brody as its Best Actor.

Now, just because I happen to like the NYFCC’s picks doesn’t mean that they mean a damn thing when it comes to Oscar voting. None of this stuff does — the Gothams, NYFCC, LAFC, NSFC, NBR, AFI, etc. It’s all precursor nonsense. Sure, it’s fun to discuss in the moment, but trust me, none of it means anything, so don’t sweat it.

Tonight, you’ll read an update about Zach Cregger’s horror movie Weapons, which according to my sources, may hit theaters sooner than you think.

There are also items about Stephen A. Smith’s new contract at ESPN, a Liza Minnelli miniseries, a release window for Season 3 of The White Lotus, and the trailer for Disney’s new live-action Snow White movie starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.
