I watched Jackpot! and The Union this weekend, and both movies were pretty much exactly what I expected — guilty pleasures that were inoffensive in the moment and generally held my attention thanks to their star power, though both proved to be instantly forgettable, as so many streaming originals are.
I’m really looking forward to seeing The Crow and Blink Twice soon, but both films are screening tomorrow night, and I’ve already committed to seeing the indie movie Strange Darling starring Kyle Gallner. There’s a lesson in there…
